
Ben Seegatz studied piano as a young student and later social and business communication at the Berlin University of the Arts. His research interests focused on music and media studies, urban studies and philosophy. Parallel to continuing his academic education, he worked as an assistant director at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and works artistically with digital media and artificial intelligence.
As a pianist, he took part in the international chamber music course “Musica mundi” three times and had CD recordings for the Bayrischer Rundfunk and the rbb. He received the second prize at the Steinway Piano Competition, the second prize at the Nuremberg Piano Competition, and the third prize at the Carl Bechstein Piano Competition. In 2015, he was awarded the special prize of the Stiftung Musikleben for the highest rating in the piano accompaniment category at Jugend musiziert and received another first prize in the category “two pianos.”

After concerts in the Berlin Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus and the Mercedes-Benz Arena, he now devotes himself primarily to interdisciplinary performance and improvisation.
