Wincent Leonard Gromm aka The Funkologist is a Berlin based Producer and MC. Besides sampling and mixing classical Jazz elements with HipHop drums, his focus is to share all his emotions and experiences while using the microphone. A message behind both, instrumentals and lyrics is very important to him. While shifting between moody beats and political lyrics he’s trying to tell a story with his musical creation. Not everything always a has to rhyme, its good to let the microphone breathe sometimes and let the music speak. While performing live, his main goal is not to perform with a structured set but more to improvise, freestyle and interact with the crowd. This creates a more familiar vibe and showcases how intime Hiphop can be without materialistic intentions.
